February is Dietary Appreciation Month! 🍽️❤️

Not all of our amazing dietary team are pictured here, but we absolutely don’t want to miss recognizing their hard work and dedication in keeping our residents’ tummies full and satisfied every single day!

Here in SEMO, we all know the way to the heart is through the stomach 😆 and let’s just say… they definitely have ALL of our hearts! 💛

Today we celebrated Mrs. Lillie as she officially retires from Prairie View!

Her sweet smile, gentle spirit, and unwavering positivity have been such a blessing to our home. She has truly been a beacon of light in our everyday life. Mrs. Lillie carries one of the purest hearts you will ever find, and her kindness has touched residents, families, and staff alike.

Although she will be greatly missed, we couldn’t be happier for her as she begins this next chapter.

Congratulations, Mrs. Lillie, and thank you for your dedication! 💙

It sure has been a colorful week at Prairie View! 🌈

On Monday, over the rainbow we found PV! Our residents created beautiful rainbows and sunshine to brighten up our dining room, and it was the most cheerful way to kick off the week. There’s just something about a little color therapy that lifts everyone’s spirits!

We also had some fun celebrating the Chinese New Year — fine-tuning our chopstick skills (some of us are still in training 😉), reading our fortunes from fortune cookies, and those Chinese finger traps really had us in a bind! Lots of laughs were shared.

Today was a beautiful day spent with several of our ladies at our very own little flower bar 🌸 They each created their own arrangements, and I have to say… they turned out absolutely gorgeous. Creativity + conversation = the sweetest afternoon.

What a bright, joyful week it has been at PV! ✨

We are so excited to celebrate Mr. Tom and Liberty!

Mr. Tom’s smile could win over just about anyone. His wit and easygoing demeanor keep us laughing even on the gloomiest days. He greets each morning with a bright eye and friendly smile, reminding us to live joyfully and cherish our families. He is truly a gem here at Prairie View!

Liberty is our February Employee of the Month! She is patient, soft-spoken, and incredibly kind. Her calm presence and genuine care for our residents make her such a blessing to our team. Her compassion and dedication made this an easy decision.

It has been such a FUN week here at Prairie View! 🎶💕

As usual, we’ve had lots of music filling the halls!

Tuesday morning, Orin & Terry joined us for singing and let me tell you, Tuesdays are always a hit around here! There’s just something about good music and familiar faces that makes the whole place light up.

On Wednesday, we switched things up with a little Valentine Family Feud ❤️ and oh my goodness… the laughs were loud and the competition was real! 🤣

Wednesday afternoon, Bruce Turner joined us for karaoke and we had a BIG crowd and an even bigger good time! There’s nothing better than seeing our residents grab the mic and sing their hearts out.

We also got to celebrate Katrina as she prepares to welcome her baby girl very soon! 💕 We are so excited for you and will miss you while you’re out — enjoy every second of that precious time!

Stay tuned tomorrow for a little Valentine’s Day Soirée… you won’t want to miss it! 💌✨
