We thought nothing could scare our crew…Until we brought out the “Guess What’s in the Bucket?” Halloween challenge! 👻

Our residents bravely stuck their hands into the mystery buckets to guess what was inside!

They got to feel around for:
🕷 Spider legs - fuzzy pipe cleaners
🧠 Guts - spaghetti
👁 Eyeballs - olives
🧛‍♂️ Vampire teeth - candy corn
🥚 Spider eggs - nerds clusters
🦴 Goblin fingers - Vienna Sausages
👂 Ogre ears - Candy gummies
…and even a spider web!

Their reactions were hilarious and faces were priceless — a perfect mix of bravery, laughter, and “NOPE!” 😂🎃

Things got a little messy around here last week! Between gutting pumpkins and attempting (key word: attempting 😅) a tasty pumpkin treat, our dining room looked like a pumpkin exploded but we had fun doing it! Luckily, our spooky deviled eggs were a monster hit! 🧛‍♀️🥚

Then came the Graveyard Games! Who knew trying to eat a donut hanging from a string would cause so many belly laughs (and sticky faces)? 🍩😂

Of course, our Beauty Shop day kept our ladies looking boo-tiful 💇‍♀️✨ and we couldn’t forget to celebrate another special birthday! 🎂

A week full of pumpkins, giggles, and good company🧡👻

September is Housekeeping Appreciation Month! 🎉

I tried to snap a photo of our housekeeping crew… and let’s just say the eye rolls and huffs were strong. 🤣 But that’s who they are….quietly working behind the scenes, never asking for credit, yet keeping our home always show ready! 🧽✨
We are beyond thankful for their dedication and hard work. Their hearts are as big as their whole body, and you can see it in the way they care for our residents. Please join us in celebrating our incredible housekeeping team this month! 👏💕

The first day of fall came with plenty of laughter, leaves, and a little bit of friendly competition! 🍂 What started as a leaf-scooping contest ended in a joyful leaf storm all over the room. 😆🍁💛

🌈✨ Did you get to see us at the Stoddard County Parade this evening?! It may have been a hot one, but oh what fun it was! We loved watching our van follow the Yellow Brick Road with the cutest Lion, Tin Man, and Scarecrow around. 💛🦁🤖🌾

Turns out our Wicked Witch isn’t so wicked after all 😉just a little more sparkle than scare! Our residents had an Oz-some time on the float, and we hope you enjoyed it too. 💫

After all… there’s no place like Prairie View! 🥿❤️

✨ Wanted to share a few snapshots from this past week at Prairie View!

🎂 We celebrated a couple of birthdays. Honestly, is there anything sweeter than birthdays?

🎲 Residents’ Choice Activity was a hit, and UNO was the winner! The laughter around the table was contagious and drew in several more to join the fun.

🎤 And of course, karaoke never disappoints! Our residents sure know how to belt out some tunes… and maybe even a few staff members too. 😉

🌬️🌪️ We also have something exciting “blowing in” this week… stay tuned! You might just catch a glimpse of us at the Stoddard County Parade! 🎈
