Penny joined the Bloomingdale Chamber of Commerce’s afterhours event this week at GMC Realty! We had a great turnout. The event was sponsored by Oasis Senior Advisors, L&M Financial, and Katie Smith-GMC Realty. Food catered from Anyways Pub was delicious as always. We toured Three Oaks Assisted Living and Memory Care in Cary, IL, and it’s such a sweet place! In the memory care area, there’s a little nook outside each apartment with shadow boxes that help residents remember which is their space. It kind of feels like a little porch with a chair, making it super personal and inviting. Our wonderful tour guide told us the cart of fresh flowers is donated weekly by Trader Joe’s. The staff help residents make beautiful floral arrangements for the dining tables — so cheerful and homey.

🌴Penny's week was packed with smiles, connections and communities!

Penny kicked off the week at the Lake/McHenry COC meeting at Belmont Village in Buffalo Grove, where she had the pleasure of meeting our wonderful Oasis partners from Lake County, Rob Nimmer and Katie Brooks. Thank you both for being such fantastic collaborators!

She also had some great one-on-one time with Ellen Lerner from Accord Hospice and David Feinstein from Comfort Keepers Home Care- two organizations doing amazing work to support our senior community.👵👴

But that's not all!! Penny went on some exciting community tours to help us find the perfect senior living options for our clients. She visited Linda Marre at Clarendale in Addison and Steve Rainsford and his team at Encore Village in Schaumburg. Both communities had so much to offer- beautiful amenities, welcoming environments, and top notch care!🏊🎶🎲💐

Oasis Senior Advisors Algonquin

Mark and I live in Bloomingdale with our two children and have lived in Illinois all our lives. We enjoy spending time with our family and friends and are avid Chicago sports fans. We have always been active in our community. Mark was presented with the honor of Bloomingdale Volunteer of the Year Award in 2016 for his participation in working with the kids in our community for over a decade.

I have spent most of my career in the healthcare industry as a medical assistant, working closely with patients and their insurance companies, and providing care and a compassionate ear when needed. Meanwhile, we both watched as Mark’s parents served as primary care facilitators for their loved ones and witnessing the struggles, they encountered along the way in finding the best care for them. We just knew there had to be an easier way. As an Oasis Senior Advisor, we now know that we can provide that easier way. Our service helps navigate through the that overwhelming and difficult process of finding the right dignified and comforting community for your loved ones.

The mission of Oasis is to reduce the time and stress on seniors and their families when searching for alternative living options. Our dedicated and compassionate Senior Living Advisors will work with seniors and their loved ones to identify preferences, health care needs, location and financial considerations and diligently work with each unique senior in a personalized way to help them find the ‘perfect fit’ for their specific situation.
