Thinking about skipping vaccines or feeling like you don’t have time for them? 🐶
We understand the hesitation, but delaying or missing core vaccines can leave your pet vulnerable to serious illnesses.

Vaccines help protect against diseases like rabies, bordetella, and canine influenza. Staying on schedule keeps your pet safer, healthier, and ready for all of life’s adventures.

Have questions about vaccines or your pet’s needs? We’re here to help with a plan that fits your schedule and keeps your pet healthy. 💙🐾

Happy Cuddly Kitten Day to all the tiny purr machines who fill our lives with love, curiosity, and comfort. 🐾😸

Those early days matter. Regular vet visits help kittens grow into healthy, happy cats who can keep sharing their cuddles and charm for years to come.

So tell us… is your kitten more cuddly or more chaotic? 😼👇

They come into our lives small, clumsy, and full of wonder and somehow change everything. 💙🐾
With every wag, every cuddle, and every sleepy sigh, puppies turn ordinary days into something unforgettable.
National Puppy Day is a celebration of that magic, that joy, and that once-in-a-lifetime kind of love.
Warning: extreme cuteness ahead. 🐶💙

Is your pet constantly itchy, licking, or scratching? 🐾
Allergies in pets are more common than you think and they don’t always look the same.

Signs can include skin irritation, ear infections, paw licking, sneezing, or digestive upset. Early vet care helps identify triggers and keep your pet comfortable.

If something feels off, trust your instincts.

Today we honor the four-legged heroes who stood fearless beside our military and law enforcement. 🫡🐾
They ran toward danger, searched through rubble, and protected lives without hesitation.
Loyal, courageous, and selfless to the end, these K9 heroes served with honor and heart.

We remember their sacrifices. We respect their service. We thank them for everything.

Zoe is a beautiful 3-year-old, spayed female Siamese looking for a very special home. She was either born with a malformed pelvis or experienced a pelvic injury as a kitten that healed abnormally. As a result, she has difficulty with bowel movements and is prone to constipation.

The good news? Her condition is very manageable with wet food, extra water intake, and a small daily dose of Miralax. She may occasionally drop a small amount of stool outside the litterbox, and her litterbox habits need to be closely monitored to keep her comfortable and healthy. Because of this, we feel Zoe would do best as the only cat in the home so her care can be carefully observed. She does well with dogs and is an incredibly sweet, affectionate girl.

Her pelvic abnormality has not affected her mobility, and aside from her bowel challenges, she has no other health concerns. While her future family should be prepared for potentially higher-than-average medical needs related to occasional constipation, we otherwise expect her health and quality of life to be just like any other kitty.

Zoe deserves a committed, compassionate home that understands her special needs and is ready to love her for the wonderful girl she is. If you think you might be the right fit, please reach out to Pooler Paws.

Trying to earn your cat’s trust? Yeah… it’s a process. 🐾😼
Here’s what actually helps:

🛏️ Set up a cozy comfort zone
👀 Pay attention to their signals (that tail says a lot)
🚪 Give them space when they need it
🐾 Let them come to you on their own terms
🍗 Treats and gentle love go a long way

Take it slow, respect the boundaries, and one day your cat might decide you’re acceptable. 💙😹

We did it again! Another successful TNVR weekend with the crew from HSGS and Pooler Vet. This team from PVH included Drs. Frierson, Hermberg, Hiers, and MacKinnon, along with help from Jojo and Randyn. Together they were able to perform 62 surgeries to help limit the feral cat population in our communities We send out a huge thank you to everyone who volunteered over the past 6 months. We were able to spay and neuter over 400 feral cats and return them to their homes.

Please support the TNVR program and the Humane Society for Greater Savannah in their efforts to care for the forgotten pets in our communities. Monetary donations and volunteering your time can make an impact. Be a part of the solution!
