Move and Bloom

Move and Bloom Somatic movement education provided by Ana Maria Pardo, RN In working as a nurse, Ana Maria realized that what people need most is a better way to learn.

Ana Maria Pardo uses slow and gentle movement to upgrade communication between the body and the brain, to enhance learning, decrease pain, and facilitate recovery. To learn how to move after stroke or injury. To learn how to reduce anxiety. To learn how to be with one’s self. To learn how to access one’s full potential, whatever the circumstances. Ana Maria's desire to facilitate learning for her clients brought her to the Anat Baniel Method®. As a NeuroMovement® Practitioner student in training, she opened Move and Bloom to help people grow possibilities.

Never lose hope! Read the full story below ⬇️

I have been living with neuropathy of the feet and spinal stenosis for several years and started seeing Ana Maria 10 months ago.

When I first started seeing her, I had no feeling in my left leg/foot from the knee down and very little feeling in my right leg/foot.

I wasn't sure what to expect from the sessions, but on my drive home following my first lesson, I realized that I had a little bit of feeling in my left toes. It was an incredible sensation, one that I had not felt in years. As the intensives have continued over the past several months, I have gradually regained almost all of the feeling in both legs and feet.

I still have a ways to go in rebuilding the strength in my legs and learning to use them properly, but am feeling very optimistic about the future.

Thank you, Ana Maria!

Do you know how to let your brain work for you in the background? 🧠 Maybe you love to get in the shower to solve your most vexing problems and you have the water bill to prove it.

A more environmentally friendly way to enhance creativity is through Feldenkrais-inspired movement modalities. 😉

Infinitely adaptable and accessible, these gentle movement inquiries are a sustainable self-practice.

You can do them almost anywhere, at any time.

And the best part? They reorient us to pleasure. 🧡

If I was in charge of the stickers they would say, “The polls are open for YOU!” 🧡 No need to rely on FOMO - anxiety can get in the way of easy, comfortable movement or action. 😉

Instead, I’m grateful for the opportunity to make my voice heard. Like any movement, it becomes a habit the more we practice.

What story do you tell yourself about your body? Many of us think our body is too (fill in the blank) to do the thing we want.

The truth is that we don't need to change our bodies to improve our movement. Instead, we need to become aware of our overall movement patterns.

By noticing what we do and how we do it, we can begin to play with new possibilities.

What story can you let go of to begin relating to your whole self with curiosity and kindness?

Our focus narrows when we’re looking for the “right” answer. To allow more possibilities for yourself, invite some levity. 😂

Laughter and joyfulness can unleash our creativity in new ways.

Text in post reads:

“Do not be serious, eager, avoiding any wrong move… Errors cannot be avoided.”

Constraints ignite our creative superpowers! 🚀

Feldenkrais-inspired movement modalities use limitations to turn on our learning brains.

When we have too many options, we swim in a sea of uncertainty.

When the options are few, we create more by imagining them.

This is how we solve our way out of various movement puzzles. 🧩

How have your limitations benefited you? 😀

It can feel good to get reconnected with your body. 🌸

It’s always a privilege to work with students who are dropping back into their felt sensations.

How do you honor your body-mind? 🧡

Original testimonial from Google reviews reads:

“I cannot say enough how helpful it was to learn some somatic movement with Ana Maria. I have lived with mind/body disassociation for so long, it was good to have someone show me how to get the two "talking" again. She was very patient and gave excellent instruction. Highly recommend!”
