Beginning as early as 1906, leaders within the Minnesota Masonic community planned for an idyllic place where its members could live out their days in comfort and care. Today, Minnesota Masonic Home is open to all who seek the high standards of those early leaders, and the commitment of modern-day Masons to provide the best care possible for older adults. Independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, memory care and transitional care services are all provided on the beautiful, 83 acres of the Minnesota Masonic Home.

Assisted Living residents enjoyed a delicious outing to the Hong Kong Buffet today, and let’s just say, we did not leave hungry! From chow mein and cheese wontons to donuts and a full dessert spread, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

By the time we headed home, we were happily full and a little tired… just check out the second photo on the bus ride back to see how the outing ended! 😄

We are thrilled to announce a new partnership with MORE that empowers new American caregivers with the language tools they need to thrive.

New Program Announcement! MORE is now working with Minnesota Masonic Home to support new American workers in long-term care.

We will be providing custom English classes in the areas of nursing assistant, dietary aide, and housekeeping, along with facilitating a mentorship program.

Thank you to the GEAR Division (Minnesota Department of Human Services) for creating new opportunities for new Americans to thrive.

Today, we had the honor of bringing a group of our residents, who ran the Resident Crafters Club table at last year’s Holiday Bazaar, to personally donate their earnings to M Health Fairview Masonic Children’s Hospital.

It was such a meaningful and special outing. Our residents were able to hand off their donation, learn more about the incredible services the hospital provides, explore some of the spaces designed for kids, and connect through our shared mission as part of Minnesota Masonic Charities!

This experience brought our shared mission to life in such a meaningful way. All year long, our residents pour their time and creativity into these crafts, always thinking about the donations they’ll be able to make to the Hospital. Their dedication and generosity continue to show what it truly means to be part of a connected and compassionate community.💛💐

We love goats so much here at Minnesota Masonic Home that we had to bring them back—this time for our Assisted Living residents to enjoy! 🐐💛

The parlor was filled with smiles, laughter, and of course, everyone’s favorite… baby goats!

A big thank you to Goat Shine for bringing so much joy and fun to our community. Our residents absolutely love it when the goats come to visit!

What better way to enjoy a Shamrock Shake than to make it yourself? ☘️🥤

Our Assisted Living residents got into the St. Patrick’s Day spirit this week by whipping up their own Shamrock Shakes! Dare we say… almost better than McDonald's because they were made together and enjoyed together! 💚

We were so excited to welcome one of our amazing volunteers, Judy! Judy spends her summers in Ely, MN working closely with black bears and recently shared her incredible experiences with our assisted living residents.

During her visit, she showed clips, photos, and videos of the bears, played the different sounds they make to express emotions, and talked about what to expect when observing them in the wild. Residents even got to watch part of a documentary about Dr. Lynn Rogers, who Judy works closely with.

The room was filled with smiles, laughter, a few happy tears, and lots of “awws” as everyone learned more about these fascinating animals. Our residents absolutely loved this special educational session!

Thank you, Judy, for volunteering your time and bringing such a unique and memorable experience to our community. 💛🐻

Who knew Tic Tac Toe could be this creative? Last week, our amazing assisted living residents got creative and made their very own custom Tic Tac Toe boards! Each board was as unique as the resident who created it. We always love seeing our residents express themselves and have fun together.

So now who is ready for a game? ❌⭕
