November is National Family Caregivers Month

Welcome Dr. Ernest Hanes to Noran Neurology!

We’re excited to welcome Ernest Hanes, DO to our team of dedicated providers at Noran Neurology! With a strong clinical background and a commitment to patient-centered care, Dr. Hanes specializes in general adult neurology and has particular expertise in Electromyography (EMG) and Electroencephalography (EEG).

Dr. Hanes is now accepting new patients at our Bloomington/Edina and Lake Elmo/Woodbury locations. We’re confident he will make a meaningful impact on the lives of our patients and the broader community.

Welcome Dr. Plamen Todorow to Noran Neurology!

We’re thrilled to introduce Plamen Todorow, MD, the newest addition to our team of adult neurologists. Dr. Todorow brings a wealth of experience in general neurology and neuromuscular disorders, with specialized training in clinical neurophysiology and posturography.

His impressive medical journey spans from the Medical University of Sofia in Bulgaria to advanced training at West Virginia University and the University of Minnesota. Fluent in both English and Bulgarian, Dr. Todorow is passionate about providing compassionate, comprehensive care to his patients.

He will be seeing patients at our Blaine and Lake Elmo/Woodbury locations.

New Hope for Early Parkinson’s Detection

A new study published in Nature Aging reveals a promising blood test that could detect Parkinson’s disease before symptoms appear. Researchers identified specific transfer RNA fragments (tRFs) in the blood that may serve as early biomarkers—potentially paving the way for earlier diagnosis and intervention.
