Let me acknowledge that, during these times, we are all suffering. Some in big ways. Many, in very many small ways that all start to add up. We are all a bit anxious, scared. We are on edge. We share this anxiety and fear together, and together, we will persevere. In a time when so much is unknown, it is clear that the only way we get through this, is to work with one another, to rely on each other.

Our mission remains to preserve and prevent loss of vision. Now, we have to weigh that against our goal of preventing the spread of Covid-19. We will remain open so we can continue to see folks that are at risk of losing vision, but we will take every precaution to reduce the risk of the corona virus to our patients, staff, and community.

If we’ve been actively treating you with laser or injections, we likely need to see you again. If you’re scheduled for a 4-6 month follow up and your vision is stable, maybe we don’t. If you’re not sure, call the office and we can discuss. But remember, there is no right answer here. As always in medicine, we are weighing risks versus benefits and especially now, many of the risks are unknown.

Take care, stay healthy, work together (but not in close proximity unless necessary)!

DRIVING DIRECTIONS
Driving to the clinic continues to pose new and constantly changing obstacles courtesy of the I-69 project and road work within the city of Bloomington. Fortunately, the overpass and exit at Tapp Rd and I-69 are now open. So, if you are coming from the south, west, or north you can exit at Tapp Rd and find us easily. If you are coming from Bloomington, the intersection of Rockport and Tapp Rd is closed. If possible, we recommend taking the 46 bypass to I-69/37 and proceeding south to the Tapp Rd exit. If you prefer, there is a detour through the neighborhood around Summit Elementary school. This is accessed on Countryside Ln off of Rockport Rd and S. Adams St off of Tapp Rd.
