If you know any girls at Bachelor, be sure to get connected with Strut to Success, Inc.! This is a great organization striving to empower the next generation!

Behind the scenes of Teen Strut Circle 💫

This week, Strut to Success begins working with girls at Bachelor Middle School as we launch our confidence and leadership programming.

Every session is intentionally designed to help girls explore their strengths, identity, and goals — because confidence isn’t something you’re born with, it’s something you build.

Grateful to create spaces where young girls feel seen, supported, and empowered to become who they are meant to be.

Have you been resonating with the recent posts for parents?

If been thinking about reaching out for support, this could be your sign.

You don’t have to wait until things are “bad enough.” You can be proactive!
You don’t have to have the perfect words and you don’t have to have it all figured out. We’ll figure it out together!

Therapy can be:
• a place to exhale
• a space to untangle the overwhelm
• support while parenting through hard seasons
• help for your child to process big feelings

At Exodus Counseling Center, we believe growth happens when you feel safe, seen and supported—not judged.

If you’ve been carrying a lot lately, you don’t have to carry it alone.

💌 reach out today to schedule a consultation.

And if this resonates, share it with someone who might need the reminder.

You are not “too much.”
Your child is not “too sensitive.”
And your family is not “failing.”

Sometimes what looks like defiance is overwhelm.
Sometimes what looks like clinginess is anxiety.
Sometimes what looks like laziness is a nervous system that’s tapped out.

When we shift from “what’s wrong with them?” to “what might be going on underneath?” everything changes.

That’s where the growth begins 🤍

If this resonates, follow along for practical parenting insights and support—and share this with a friend who might need the reminder too. We’re all in this together!

Fri-YAY! You survived the week, even the messy parts 🎉

Take a deep breath, celebrate the wins (big or small), and let yourself actually rest this weekend. You earned it 💕

Reminder for parents: needing support doesn’t mean you’re doing something wrong. It means you care deeply about your child.

Therapy isn’t about fixing kids or blaming parents. It’s about understanding what your child is communicating and building skills together.

If you’ve been wondering whether therapy could help your child, this is your gentle nudge 🤍

Ending Play Therapy Week with this reminder:

Play therapy isn’t about fixing behavior—it’s about understanding the child underneath it.

Also, yes, I hopped on the caricature bandwagon. Play therapy week felt like the right time and place to do it 😉

Through toys, stories, and imagination, children show us their inner world when words fall short.

When kids feel safe enough to play freely, healing follows.

A common question parents ask is:
“What is my role in play therapy?”

While play therapy sessions are centered on the child, parents are an important part of the therapeutic process.

Parent involvement may include:
•regular check-ins and collaboration with the therapist
•support and guidance around behaviors at home
•learning tools to strengthen connection and emotional regulation
•updates on progress and goals

At the start of sessions, I typically check in with parents to hear how things have been going. At the end of the sessions, if there is anything that your child or I feel is important for you to know, we will let you know!

Play therapy works best when children are supported both in the therapy room and at home.

Feel free to comment or DM me if you have any questions related to parent involvement!

One of the most common questions I hear is: “what actually happens in play therapy?”

In play therapy, children are given a safe, supportive space to play freely while the therapist thoughtfully observes, reflects, and responds to their emotional needs.

At times, the therapist may also use directive interventions—gently guiding play or activities to support specific goals like emotional regulation, coping skills, or problem solving.

Through play, children can:
•express emotions
•practice coping skills
•process experiences
•build confidence and regulation

Play therapy is intentional, therapeutic, and guided—while still feeling natural and safe for the child.

Still have questions about what play therapy looks like? Feel free to comment or sen a DM!

International Play Therapy Week - Day 2! 🧸

Who is play therapy for?

Play therapy can support children (or even adults!) who are experiencing:
•big emotions
•anxiety or worry
•behavioral challenges
•life transitions or stress
•trauma
•difficulty expressing feelings

Through play, children are able to communicate what’s happening internally in a way that feels safe and natural to them.

Have questions about play therapy? I’m happy to answer them! Comment or DM anytime this week.
