✨ In her Power and Intuition ✨
We met by the water. Witnessing you throw rocks with your son and being present with him was beautiful. So many mothers will resonate with your share 🧡
Thank you for bringing my muse .marie
How has motherhood enriched your life? What had it sparked within you?
“Motherhood has enriched my life by giving me a sense of purpose. My childhood wasn’t bad, but there are key elements I feel I missed. I’m able to heal my inner child and re-parent myself by parenting and providing enrichment and opportunities I didn’t always get. Watching Cedar explore nature in simple ways, like throwing rocks into a pond for 45 minutes, enriches my life in ways I can’t even explain. Watching him grow into the person he is brings me so much joy. I used to feel like I had to impress people constantly in order to gain approval. Now, I feel so much more relaxed when it comes to being myself. Sure- my nervous system is fried sometimes from the big emotions and sleepless nights, but my nervous system is so much more relaxed in social settings. Being a mother has brought me a sense of confidence because I know I can do really hard things, and my values and intuition have become so much stronger and clearer. My intuition is guided by what I believe to be best for my family, and somehow that just makes things more clear and straightforward than they ever have been before for me.”
“In addition to boosting my confidence and sharpening my intuition, being a mother has sparked my awe at life again, something that had waned for several years before becoming pregnant. It also made it clear to me that life comes in seasons. It’s ok to not have a clear trajectory life path. Today I’m a mother and a doula, and who knows where I’ll be in ten years. I feel much less attached to trying to figure it all out at once, and more open to the flow and unfolding of life in its own time.“
