Spotlight on You Series —
Meet Henry Gray! Henry has been a resident at Meadowood for over fifteen years. He has served on the Armchair Travel committee for several years and remains active in the Meadowood Book Club, along with many other activities throughout the community.
His impressive career includes time as a geologist with the U.S. Geological Survey, the Ohio Geological Survey, and the Indiana Geological Survey. In his free time, Henry enjoys writing essays and poems, some of which are featured in the Meadowood Anthology, our resident publication. He also loves listening to music—whether in his apartment, at Tuesday evening concerts, or at performances at IU.
Henry enjoys reading and taking in the peaceful views of the pond and nature outside his window. When asked what advice he’d give his younger self, he shared: relax more and don’t be so tense—take time to enjoy life a little more.
Wise words from someone who just celebrated his 104th birthday! 🎉
