For 15 years, our team and community have come together to gather toys, share joy, and support local families through Toys for Tots. Each season reminds us how much kindness lives in this community and how meaningful it is when people show up for one another.
We’re grateful to everyone who continues this tradition with us and to Kare11 for helping highlight the importance of giving back.
Donations of new, unwrapped toys can be dropped off at our office through December 18. Your support helps make the holidays brighter for children across Minnesota.

🤩Testimonial Tuesday!🤩 These make our day every time. Kay had a minus-15 prescription before ICL!!

"Recently, I had ICL vision correction surgery at the Chu Vision Institute in the Cities.

I didn't even know that vision correction surgery (aside from full on cataract surgery which is ridiculously expensive and insurance won't pay for unless you already have cataracts) would ever be an option for me. I had been told years ago that things like LASIK and related procedures simply couldn't do much for my prescription, which before surgery, was over -15 in one eye and over -16 in the other.

But I went to the optometrist to update my prescription. And he told me there was a new-ish procedure called ICL that might be able to help me. Basically, it meant implanting a contact lens in each eye.

The good news was that the recovery was much more rapid than cataract surgery, as well as being far less expensive, and to top it off, there was a place in the Cities that would knock me out for it! Because believe me, there is not enough Xanax on the planet to keep me on the table if I'm awake for that.

So I went to Chu Vision Institute, where I was treated with ultimate professionalism, expertise, and kindness. If you need serious eye care in the Cities area, I enthusiastically suggest you seek them out! I was lucky enough to have Dr. Ralph Chu perform my procedure himself, and thanks to his decades of experience, everything has gone well so far.

Dr. Heckman is our most experienced Optometrist, specializing in Cataract and Refractive care. She leads our clinic and has been part of our team for 15 years!

Tahnee is one of our amazing Registered Nurses, and also a Clinical Manager. Tahnee has been supporting Dr. Chu and our team for 7 years!

Ellie is one of our outstanding certified ophthalmic and surgical technicians who you might see back in the clinic. Ellie has been with our team for 5 years.
