What an incredible day of fun and friendly competition! 🎉

On March 6, Friendship Village of Bloomington held our Second Annual Bocce Ball Tournament, and it did not disappoint. We had many fantastic teams competing throughout the day, bringing great energy and sportsmanship to the court.

The final match was especially exciting—it went into overtime and was decided by a single roll, which even required the measuring tape to determine the winner! Talk about a nail-biter. 😄

Amazing job to all the teams who joined us, and a special congratulations to our first and second place teams. You were all incredible and helped make the tournament such a memorable event. We can’t wait to do it again next year! 🎯

DARE Week concluded at Friendship Village of Bloomington on February 27 with a fantastic concert from the Resistors Band! 🎶 Residents gathered to enjoy great music and celebrate a fun and engaging week together.

We would like to thank everyone who helped make this week so enjoyable, and a special thank you to our wonderful residents who stepped outside their routines and tried so many new and different activities throughout the week. Your enthusiasm made DARE Week truly special! 👏✨

During DARE Week on February 26 at Friendship Village of Bloomington, residents had the opportunity to step outside their usual routines and try out new fitness classes! From fun group workouts to different styles of exercise, it was a great chance to explore new ways to stay active and healthy. 💪✨

Trying something new can be both exciting and empowering, and our residents did an amazing job embracing the challenge. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the day such a success! 🎉

🎉 Celebrating Phyllis Jones – March Team Member of the Month! 🎉

Phyllis Jones has been part of the FVB family for over 18 years, and we’re so grateful for the care and positivity she brings every day as one of our full-time drivers.

On February 25, residents stepped out of their comfort zones during DARE Week with our Bizarre Food Tasting! 🍽️

Residents had the chance to try some unique foods, including fried gator tail, fried octopus, and chocolate-covered crickets. It was a fun and adventurous experience getting to taste foods that aren’t so common here.

There were plenty of laughs, curious reactions, and great conversations as everyone gave these unusual treats a try! 😄

On February 24, residents had the chance to practice their improv chops during DARE Week at Friendship Village! 🎭

Everyone stepped out of their comfort zone, tried something new, and shared plenty of laughs along the way. It was wonderful to see residents embracing creativity and having so much fun together.

Residents had the opportunity to sit down and chat with someone they may not have known before. It was wonderful to see so many meaningful conversations, smiles, and new connections being made throughout the event.

Residents and families had the chance to try iFly, and it was an absolute blast. Seeing everyone smile, laugh, and cheer each other on made the day even more special. From first-time flyers to excited spectators, the energy was incredible! 💨✨

Lollos is our Team Member of The Month of February. Lollos is a Personal Care Assistant and works in our Assisted Living and Memory Care neighborhoods. Lollos was nominated by another team member who mentioned Lollos is always very helpful and shows a good attitude at work. They wrote: “I would like to make a special mention, no less than weekly, do I have residents or team members who come to my office to tell me how great, kind and wonderful of a worker Lollos is. He is always striving to provide better service, better care and create lasting relationships with those around him.”
