The demand for community birth is growing, and all birthing people deserve spaces to feel safe, respected, and beloved🤎 - especially communities of color and Indigenous folks who are historically deprived of respectful care.

It's time that we heed the call of our communities and expand access to birth centers! 📣

We are grateful to partner with Birth Center Equity on Birth Center Week to raise awareness and share the moving impact of freestanding birth centers.

Sometimes your massage therapist (hi, it’s me 👋🏼) will lovingly kick you off the table and onto hands-and-knees so I can gently shimmy your baby into a better spot. Not the most conventional moment in a session… but after 10+ years of perinatal bodywork, I know what actually works.

I don’t stress about breech or transverse babies. They move when there’s space. And massage can create that space — softening tension, balancing the pelvis, easing the uterine ligaments, and giving baby the opportunity to naturally rotate into a position that’s more comfortable for both of you.

Did you know prenatal massage can even support more optimal birth outcomes? Wild (and wonderful), right?

I’m usually booked out months ahead, but if you or someone you know is trying to encourage baby into a better position for an upcoming version, induction, or birth, text me directly. I’ll always try my best to squeeze you in if I can.

I love this work so much. 💛

💙💜💚 Studies conducted using infrared cameras have found that mothers raise their breast temperature as needed to warm their baby.
🍂 If a mother has twins and one is hypothermal and the other has a normal temperature, the mother's breast which is on the colder side of the baby will raise her temperature up to two degrees higher than the other with the baby at the right temperature.
🍂 Undoubtedly the best sanitary and the best incubator for the premature baby is the mother's body, and she is fantastically equipped to meet the needs of her immature baby.

Do formula companies sabotage breastfeeding?

These bottles of formula come in a packet of 6 marketed as a ‘First Baby Milk Formula Starter Pack From Birth’.

Although it comes with a disclaimer on the box that ‘Newborn babies may take only small amounts of infant formula to start with’ what sort of message does the size of this bottle send to parents worried that their newborn is having enough of their breastmilk?

Research tells us that on average in the first 24 hours a newborn’s feed will average about 7ml...meaning this bottle is 10 TIMES larger!

For many new babies 4-5 swallows of colostrum per feed is all they need in the first 24 hours.

The formula company also advises that once opened any unused formula be disposed of within one hour meaning a lot is going to be wasted in this kit making it an expensive and non environmentally friendly option.
