This year we are going to try something a little different … we are going to try a Give and Get concept for our Christmas donation efforts.
We are collecting food donations, pet food and toy donations as well as new, unwrapped toy donations for local children. We will distribute all items within the Bloomsburg Pa and surrounding areas.
My staff and my family have shopped all year long for toys and we have a good start but I think the need will exceed the supply this year. We have set up donation boxes in the office.
Here is the Give and Get concept … I have purchased lots of squishmellows to donate to various groups and benefits this year and I have a lot remaining. My offer is that when you donate in excess of $25 worth of new toys, food and pet items you will get to take one of the squishmellows home with you (or you can donate it back to the toy drive, no pressure). My hope is that some of our younger donators will be rewarded for their generosity and it will drive them to help others now and going forward.
This is not a squishmellow for every $25 value donated but 1 for over $25 value donated. All donation values will be accepted and appreciated but I simply don’t have enough squishmellows to give away with every donation. Once they are gone, there will be no substitute given in return for your donations (limited number available). Most of the squishmellows are 12 or 14 inches .
