The near enemy of love is attachment. Attachment masquerades as love. It says, “I will love this person (because I need something from them).” Or, “I’ll love you if you’ll love me back. I’ll love you, but only if you will be the way I want.” This isn’t the fullness of love. Instead there is attachment—there is clinging and fear. True love allows, honors, and appreciates; attachment grasps, demands, needs, and aims to possess.

Thanks to The Awkward Yeti - Nick Seluk for this creative reminder that past trauma and “baggage” can make even minor inconveniences feel like too much some days!

In order to help mitigate the spread of Covid-19, all therapy sessions will be conducted as teletherapy for the next two weeks. Each therapist is coordinating with clients and providing instructions for holding video sessions. The office will be closed to therapy clients until March 29th at the earliest, and we will continue to follow the news and assess options to maintain the health and safety of our clients, clinicians, and communities.

BBPG is now host to a women's trauma group:

Healing Trauma Together
Facilitated by Emily Masko, LPC

Mondays from 7 - 8:30 pm

Experiences of trauma or any overwhelming, stressful life experience can lead to unhealthy patterns that disrupt our relationships with others and ourselves. Through connecting and sharing our stories while learning new skills, we are able to shed old patterns and reclaim our lives.

BBPG and Lotus Counseling & Wellness are pleased to announce the return of our women's trauma group. The group aims to enhance overall well-being and resilience, tap into capacity for change, and teach new skills. The group will provide authentic interpersonal connections to support well-being.

Together we can grow and heal.

Call Emily Masko, LPC, at 267-310-1799 to sign up for the group.
