Former athletes often get injured when they jump back into sports because:
🔹 They remember what they used to be able to do
🔹 Their competitive mindset overrides their current capacity
🔹 Strength, mobility, and tendon resilience decline faster than skill
🔹 Recovery takes longer than it did at 18

Muscle memory is real. But so is tissue deconditioning.

Another amazing .stevens.academy.gsa student working one on one with us at Taylor will be developing her own strength and conditioning program for year round health while also being a multi-sport athlete. She will also be observing us here at VM to get a wide range of experiences for injury prevention all the way through performance for a lifetime
