Giving Tuesday-December 2, 2025 is just 2 weeks away, and we’re grateful to share something very special:

We already have TWO generous, anonymous donors who are matching all gifts — up to $10,000!

That means every dollar donated from now through December 2nd will be doubled!

Your gift goes twice as far in supporting year-round programs for the people we serve at Blue Cap.

We're so grateful to be part of community that always shows up for others.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

💙 Blue Cap at the Behavioral Health Partner Appreciation Event! 💙

Yesterday, Wednesday 10/15/25 Blue Cap was honored to attend the Behavioral Health Partner Appreciation Event hosted by the Cook County Department of Public Health at the Little Red Schoolhouse Nature Center in Willow Springs.

The day included a mindfulness session with ‘Forest Therapy’ and art using natural objects, a delicious lunch catered by Food First Chicago, and speed networking with fellow community partners dedicated to behavioral health.

We were truly proud to receive Recognition from the Cook County Department of Public Health, for Blue Cap’s long-term partnership and support in promoting health, inclusion, and community well-being across Cook County.

Thank you to Cook County Health for including us in this wonderful day of appreciation and connection! 💚🌿

🍂 Energy Tip Tuesday with D’Shawn McCallister! 🍂

The weather’s changing, and D’Shawn’s got two quick tips to help you stay warm and save energy this fall:

1.🌞 Let the sunshine in!
Open curtains and blinds during the day to let in natural heat from the sun. It’s a free way to warm your space before those cooler evenings roll in.

2. 🪟 Cover drafty windows
Keep the cold air out and cozy air in by sealing or covering drafty windows. Plastic film, weather stripping, or insulated curtains can make a big difference!

Thanks to the ComEd Energy Force Program, ambassadors like D’Shawn continue empowering communities to live efficiently—one tip at a time!💡💙
