Meet Steven Gero! Steven studied Qi Gong at Redwood University Chinese Medicine school in Los Angeles and has practiced many modes of energy movement. He has been a daily meditator for the past 20 years, and is excited to share his knowledge with the mountain community.
Qigong with Steven is an hour class for everyone, on Mondays at 9:30am! Studies have shown that this daily practice helps to reduce stress and tension, increases immunity, raises your energy level, lowers blood pressure, invigorates the cardiovascular system, balances blood sugar levels and improves metabolism, along with many other benefits. It improves digestion regulates the nervous system, enhances the respiratory system, and improves motor functions.
Qi Gong (The Eight Treasures) is a unique Qi Gong style that was formally organized around 2,000 years ago and was transmitted by the Ni Family through an unbroken succession of 74 generations of Taoist masters. The form is comprised of 32 movements arranged in 8 sections. The Eight Treasures Qi Gong form draws from the natural movements of planets and starts, reflecting the simplicity and strength of Mother Nature. By ensuring a smooth flow of Qi (Chi) in our bodies, we can harmonize with the larger rhythms of the Universe, promoting health. The Eight Treasures not only Promote an increase in energy, flexibility and balance, they can also improve the quality of life and felling of well-being by integrating the body, mind and spirit.
