Babies are born with very low vitamin K, breast milk doesn’t provide enough, and without it, the risk of dangerous bleeding is real.

It’s a life-saving nutrient that newborns simply do not have enough of at birth.

Refusing vitamin K puts babies at risk for serious—and sometimes fatal—bleeding. This includes bleeding in the brain that can happen without warning.

A quick story:
A mom once told me TSA made her dump her pumped milk, took her ice packs, and wiped her pump with the same rag they used for luggage trays. She boarded that plane crying — baby hungry, supply at risk.

That kind of thing?
The BABES Act was created to prevent it.

Now TSA must:
• Follow hygienic, evidence-based milk screening
• Consult maternal-health experts
• Be audited for compliance

So when you travel with milk, formula, pump parts, or ice packs, you have actual protection behind you.
