A full day of arts, parks, and community impact for Leadership Fannin! 🎨🏞️

The class toured some of Fannin County’s most valuable community assets, from the Arts Center and Library to local parks and the Community Theater, hearing directly from the people who bring these spaces to life.

Along the Toccoa River, discussions on conservation, recreation, and tourism development tied it all together, showing how these efforts support both our residents and our visitors.

Fannin County High School and Fannin County Baseball are calling on our community to do what we do best—show up and support others in need.

This Friday night, our baseball team will host Brantley County in the first round of the state playoffs. Brantley County is currently facing devastating wildfires in South Georgia, with reports that their community has already lost an estimated 50 homes.

We want to rally around them by sending their team home with essential supplies they can take back and share with their community.

📍 Drop-off Locations:

Today: FCHS Baseball trailer parked in front of Johnny Farmer Gymnasium until 5:30 p.m.
Friday (game day): At the baseball field at Fannin County Middle School from 10:00 a.m. to the end of the second game.

Please keep in mind that all donations will be transported by school bus, so we ask that items are manageable and appropriately packed.

Suggested donation items include:

Bottled water
Sports drinks
Prepackaged food items
Baby wipes
Basic toiletries
Hand sanitizer
Sanitizing wipes

Friends, we need your support!

Our local VFW Post 6570 is trying to raise money for a new towable grill and smoker—not for profit, not for themselves—but to feed people in this community.

We’re talking about meals on Memorial Day, Veterans Day, and events where they show up, cook, and take care of folks just because that’s who they are.

That kind of thing doesn’t happen by accident. It takes people stepping up.

If you’ve ever been proud to live here, if you’ve ever respected what our veterans have done, or if you just believe in taking care of your neighbors… this is one of those moments to show it.

We're supporting it, and asking you to at least take a second to check it out. If you can give, great. If not, share it—because this is the kind of thing worth getting behind.
