OPEN 24 HOURS ON ALL MAJOR HOLIDAYS At Mountain Emergency Animal Center, our mission is to provide high quality, compassionate emergency and critical care services to the pets, owners, and all referring veterinarians of the Tri-State area in a timely, friendly, and professional manner. Hours:
24 hours on Weekends and Holidays

Monday-Thursday - Open 6pm through 8am next morning
and
Friday 6pm through 8am Monday morning

We're pleased to share that Pet Poison Helpline can now resume providing complete, direct service to pet parents in Georgia, including full risk assessments and treatment guidance.

What This Means: Pet parents in Georgia can once again receive full, direct service from our toxicology team—by phone or chat—when their pet has a potential poisoning emergency. Not just case initiation, but comprehensive guidance to help their pet.

Our Commitment Continues: Throughout this transition, our dedication to supporting veterinary professionals across Georgia has remained strong. We're grateful for your partnership and look forward to continuing to serve pets and the veterinarians who care for them.

Inclement weather is predicted for tonight into Tuesday.

We are saddened to post that MEAC will be closed for the upcoming holiday due to the shortage of DVM coverage.
MEAC will be closed from 8am December 24th through Friday December 26th 6pm.
Attached you will find alternative options for after- hour care you can share with your clients. This is a decision we did NOT want to have to make, but all options have been exhausted. Mountain Emergency Animal Center provides comprehensive emergency and urgent care during the day and at night, on the weekends and holidays. We work closely with your primary veterinarian to provide the most complete care possible for your family pet. We understand that your pet is an important member of your family and deserves the best possible medical care.

We are a direct extension of your family veterinarian and we will work closely with them in treating your pet. Your family veterinarian will receive faxed or emailed copies of all your records to provide a seamless line of communication.
