Bodywork by Brett Bodywork by Brett offers a balance between western and eastern massage modalities. Styles include swedish. deep tissue, shiatsu, cupping, qua sha, pregnancy.

and ear candling. My style and approach to bodywork, is to bring balance from a wholistic view. Utilizing the universal energies of yin/yang and blending with the natural seasonal changes allowing our bodies to help heal ourselves. I was first introduced to bodywork after having spinal surgery and wanted to feel better about myself. While studying Aikido and learning shiatsu massage, my passion lead me to a massage school outside of San Diego. My life and journey was about to shift immensely and profoundly. I ended up interning and teaching shiatsu for over 10 years. My journey and truly learning from the clients I've had for over 25 years is the fire that continues to fuel the passion within. Every time working with a client is an opportunity to learn and helps to maintain that beginners mindset. I believe that this is about serving others, encouraging and empowering clients to connect mind body and spirit allowing for healing to begin. It begins with the first step, making an appointment. Trust in the process. Be patient. Everything doesn't happen when we want it to. The process is about tapping into yourself. Trusting yourself that you can do this. Letting go and believing that in this very moment, whatever the issue/condition may be, it's teaching us on how and why we can let go and free ourselves from addictions, suffering, pain, etc.
Trust, believe, and be kind to yourself.

I'm using Mugwort, or Moxibustion, commonly used in TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) for creating warmth/heat, circulation, or to stimulate an area. This is working St. 36. Great for tired legs, stomach issues, abdominal bloating, increase vitality, reduce fatigue.

Change can happen when confronted with challenges. Often times we wait ( I did ) until something rises to the surface. Holistic massage along with wellness can cause a shift in the imbalance.
As I experience working with clients, imbalances can come from inadequate lifestyles from our past. Which can lead to present day concerns, type 2 diabetes, hypertension, hypothyroidism, even allergies.
