In 1950, Dr. Sandford Cockerell opened a small office in Independence, MO with the goal to provide exceptional healthcare to the children in his community. His children, Dr. Charles Cockerell and Dr. Michele McIntosh eventually joined the practice and later created Cockerell & McIntosh Pediatrics. The practice has grown over the years to include three offices and a team of pediatricians who remain dedicated to providing exceptional pediatric care. Our practice has always strived to offer quality healthcare as conveniently as possible. We hire only board-certified pediatricians and nurse practitioners, each of whom work with a dedicated team of nurses to help deliver patient-centered care.
