Our roots run deep in Blue Springs and eastern Jackson County. The legacy that became Meyers Funeral Chapel began in 1903, when Webb-Freer Funeral Home first opened its doors to serve families with dignity, compassion, and respect—values that continue to guide us today.
When Marty Meyers became a partner at Webb-Freer, he understood the importance of preserving a family-owned funeral home built on trust. In 2006, he fulfilled a lifelong dream by establishing Meyers Funeral Chapel just around the corner in Blue Springs, alongside his brother Dennis and his wife, Kim. Two years later, he purchased the assets of Webb-Freer, ensuring its more than century-long legacy would remain in caring, local hands.
For generations, families in Blue Springs have trusted Marty and the Meyers team to walk beside them during life’s most difficult moments. That trust allowed the legacy to grow even further, leading to the opening of Meyers Funeral Chapel Northland in Parkville with partners Todd and Nikki DeMint.
Today, we are proud to remain family-owned, deeply rooted in Blue Springs, and honored to continue serving families for 122 years.
