Wishing you a beautiful Thanksgiving filled with gratitude, warmth, and presence.

Today is a reminder to slow down and notice what nourishes us. For us that is connection, laughter, shared meals, and the simple joy of being together.

We’re thankful for the opportunity to support and walk alongside so many of you on your journeys. May this day bring you peace, comfort, and a full heart.

We hear a lot about the vagus nerve lately, but what is it really?

The vagus nerve connects your brain and body, regulating stress, digestion, and emotional balance. It’s both physiological and psychological, acting as a bridge between how you think and how you feel.

By supporting vagal tone through gentle breathwork, somatic movement, and mindfulness, you can help your nervous system find more growth to feel better in your body.

This means a greater sense of regulation by shifting states so that your nervous system doesn't get stuck in stress. Things may still stress you out, but you won't be overwhelmed by them.

You'll have a greater sense of yourself in these moments. Imagine, being with things that often make you spiral...and not spiraling. That's the difference supporting your vagus nerve can make.

What if gratitude didn’t have to be forced?

In trauma-informed care, we know that gratitude can be felt through the body and starts from simply beginning to safely notice.

Try this today:
🫶 Place a hand over your heart and notice its rhythm.
🌬️ Breathe deeply into your belly and feel your chest rise and fall.
💭 Whisper “thank you.” Not because everything feels perfect, but because you’re still here, learning to feel.

Healing isn’t always graceful.
Sometimes it’s messy, loud, emotional… and still beautiful.

You’re allowed to be so proud of your growth and so tired of it at the same time. 😂

That’s what honoring your journey really looks like — noticing the resistance, breathing through it, and maybe even dancing it out.

🪩 Join me for movement that meets you where you’re at — no perfection, no pressure, just you.

So many women I work with feel like they’re at war with their bodies — but beneath the surface, eating disorders are rarely about food. They’re about safety, control, and belonging.

Through shadow work + somatic therapy, we begin to listen to the body’s messages rather than silence them. Healing starts when we meet the parts that are afraid to be seen.

✨ Inside my yoga and therapy offerings, we move through this work gently —
with the nervous system, not against it.

I offer 2 somatic classes currently. Mondays 6pm for a higher energy class that uses hip hop to help feel into different parts of the body. Wednesdays at 7:30am to use exploration to sense internally.

When I was 8, I sat in front of my classroom with my new haircut —
trying not to cry,
trying to be brave,
terrified of what they’d say.

No one told me then that my worth wasn’t up for debate.
That I didn’t have to earn belonging by looking “right.”

So today, my adult self sits beside her.
I hold her small, shaking hand and whisper —
You don’t have to do this alone anymore.
I’m right here with you.

This is what healing looks like.
Not rewriting the past —
but finally giving the little one inside you the love, safety, and protection she always needed.

🫶 For anyone still carrying the younger parts of you who learned to hide —
you’re not behind. You’re coming home.

✨ “She tried so hard to be perfect.
To smile through the ache.
To earn love by being good.” ✨

But this time, I (the woman I’ve become) kneel beside her —
and whisper, “You don’t have to prove anything to be loved.”

This is the heart of inner child work.
It’s not about changing who you were —
it’s about meeting the younger you with the care she never received.

Every time you pause, breathe, and offer yourself kindness instead of criticism…
you reparent her.
You teach her what safety feels like. 💫

🫶 To every version of you that had to be strong — she deserves to rest now.

Fear and trust are dance partners.
One pulls away when the other takes the lead —
but both are trying to keep you safe.

Shadow work helps you learn why your fear shows up, and how to trust the parts of you that have forgotten how to feel safe.

In somatic yoga + therapy, we don’t rush the process —
we build safety, curiosity, and compassion for every part of you that’s still in the dark. 🕯️
