During Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention Month, our Annual Bow Campaign is in full swing, and we are so excited to announce that because of a generous donor, all bow purchases made by end of this week will be matched up to $1,000! That means twice the support, twice the impact!

Funds raised through this campaign support our free programs and services - like our children’s programming. Children deserve to learn in a way that meets them where they are. At Helping Hands, our children’s curriculum (Hand in Hand AND Purposeful Play) is thoughtfully designed to teach safety, emotional awareness, communication, and healthy relationships - all at age and developmentally appropriate levels. These tools help break the cycle of abuse and neglect before it starts.

To get involved in this campaign, individuals and families simply pay the number of bow(s) they’re wanting to claim (example, bow 78 = $78)! Each bow has the name of a child we serve through our children’s programming and what they hope to be when they get older! Some want to be a nurse or a doctor, a mommy, sewist/quilter, princess, race car driver, an astronaut, a teddy bear maker and so much more. Their dreams are precious and we desire to be a part of the journey that gets them there!

But we need your help! Would you be willing to come alongside us in this campaign? Check out what bows are available and email (kylie@helpinghandscpc.org), call (260-824-4263) or message us to claim your bow(s)!

Did you know that so far in 2026, there have been 200 substantiated cases of child abuse and neglect in the counties we predominately serve (Adams, Allen, Blackford, Huntington, and Wells)?

Our Annual Bow Campaign was created to bring awareness to the cycles of child abuse and neglect. Helping Hands offers intervention not just in April, but all year long 💙

Services like our parenting classes and children’s programming allow us to meet families where they are, offering support, guidance, and encouragement every step of the way.

There’s still time to be involved! Grab your bow now 🎀 by messaging us, stopping in, or giving us a call.

Dr. Bruce Perry once said, “The more healthy relationships a child has, the more likely they will recover from trauma and thrive. Relationships are the agents of change, and the most powerful therapy is human love.” On a weekly basis, we serve 30+ children, ages 0-17, through our programming, striving to be part of the support system every child needs to reach their potential.

Thanks to these individuals for being a part of this through our Annual Bow Campaign!

-Steve and Gayla - picked bows 43, 64, and 65 for their anniversary and ages 🩵
-Gloria - one of our most loyal volunteers picked a gold sparkly bow 🎉
-Craig and Reese - picked bows 12, 1, 19 for their anniversary 💗
-Natalia - super sweet and picked a blue sparkly bow 🥳

Just a week into April and we wanted to share a little more about our Annual Bow Campaign 🎀

This Campaign is ran during April, Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention and we ask the community to get involved! And we make it easy - you simply stop in, call, text, or email to claim a bow. Whatever number you pick (1-100), that’s how much you pay! If you pick one of our sparkly bows, you pay how much the level is (blue = $250, gold = $500, and white = $1,000).

While it may seem like a simple way to provide funding for our programs and services, it’s more! On each bow we have the name of a child we serve and what they want to be when they grow up. On a weekly basis, we serve 30+ children, ages 0-17, through our programming, striving to be part of the support system every child needs to reach their potential.

Will you be a part of this?

You can even click the button below to claim your bow and send us an email!

Going Garage Saling?
If you're out and about garage saling (or find yourself with leftover clothes after your own garage sale) and find clothes in the sizes below, we are in need!

Sizes:
-Girls 3T and up
-Girls 9 months through 2T
-Girls newborn through 3 months
-Boys 3 months through 9 months

One of our other greatest current needs in the Helping Hands' Store is wipes and diapers - especially sizes 4, 5, 6, 7, and pull-ups (2T/3T, 3T/4T). These are consistently requested by the families we serve. If you’d like to help bridge this material gap, we invite you to check out our Amazon Wishlist and consider shopping for a good cause! We also have a need for diaper bags (new or gently used).
