I’m still taking this in… 🥹✨

Last night, I had the honor of pitching Empowered Woman, LLC at the NAWBO South Florida “Connect to More” Pitch Competition—and I’m so proud to share that we WON. 🏆

This moment means so much, not just for me, but for the women and families we serve every day. Empowered Woman was built from both lived experience and a deep belief that women deserve access to mental health care that is supportive, culturally responsive, and rooted in community.

I’m incredibly grateful to NAWBO South Florida for creating this space for women entrepreneurs to grow, connect, and be seen—and to Bank of America for investing in women-owned businesses and believing in our vision.

A special thank you to for sharing this opportunity with me—you truly opened a door I’m so grateful I walked through. 💛

And to the incredible finalists—Adrianne, Kimone, Jacky, and Stephanie—it was such an honor to be in the room with all of you. The work you’re doing is powerful, and I’m cheering you on in all that’s ahead.

This presentation will be delivered in Spanish.
Following this presentation, participants should be able to:
1. Describe the scope of the problem of su***de within Latinx and Hispanic Communities
2. Describe su***de risk and protective factors specific to Latinx and Hispanic Communities
3. Describe warning signs of su***de
4. Explain how to get help for yourself or someone in a suicidal crisis
5. Explain how to seek and offer support for yourself or others
