This week’s Embryo of the Week, we’re showing an example of a lower-quality embryo.
💬 Haley walks us through what we’re seeing here: fragmentation, which can signal cellular stress, along with a less-defined inner cell mass (the part that becomes the baby) and a trophectoderm with fewer cells (which forms the placenta). These features help us understand an embryo’s potential for continued development. While this embryo made it to Day 7, it isn’t suitable for biopsy or freezing.
At Boca Fertility, we’re intentional about the embryos we select. Being selective helps give you the strongest possible chance of achieving a healthy pregnancy and growing your family.
