Ruth & Norman Rales Jewish Family Service (JFS) is proud to partner with the Jewish Educational Loan Fund (JELF) to help local students reach their academic goals. As education costs continue to rise, JELF provides 0% interest loans that help cover essential living and educational expenses often not included in traditional financial aid, such as travel, rent, food, and books.

Students like Leah have been able to avoid years of high‑interest debt and finally access the opportunity to attend college. “No one in my family has ever been able to afford to go away to school. I am so blessed to have this opportunity to grow, mature, and be independent for the first time in my life. Without the funds from JELF, I wouldn’t have the money to cover my living expenses and fulfill my dream of going away to college like my peers.”

The deadline to apply is approaching fast—April 30! Don’t miss the chance to secure support for the upcoming academic year.

This program helps families give their children a safe, enjoyable, and memorable summer while parents are able to continue working. Ruth & Norman Rales Jewish Family Services (JFS) extends its appreciation to Senator Tina Polsky and State Representative Debra Tendrich for securing this funding on behalf of local families. What if your child’s brain could be rewired to make learning easier? Struggling with reading comprehension, delayed processing of information, and difficulty retaining information can be extrememly frustrating for a child.

Imagine a program that could erase those challenges using the principle of neuroplasticity. It exists and it is coming to the Toby and Leon Cooperman Therapy & Family Resource Center (Coperman Center) this summer. Arrowsmith Cognitive Intensive Program is a 6 week program that uses evidence-based cognitive training to boost the underlying brain functions behind these leaning challenges.

June 29 - August 7, 2026
