. Half a century ago, individuals and businesses came together and raised the funds necessary to build a hospital, ensuring that quality healthcare would always be available right here in Boca Raton. Since then, the generous and compassionate spirit of the community has supported the Hospital, which has grown into a nationally acclaimed, regional center of medical excellence. Philanthropy is more important than ever before, as the Hospital faces unprecedented challenges. With an uncertain economy, the rapid pace of technology and the ever-rising costs of care, the generous support of individuals like you will help to sustain Boca Raton Regional Hospital for generations to come. It is with deep sadness that the Boca Raton Regional Hospital Foundation shares the passing of Stanley “Stan” Barry. A devoted supporter, trusted leader, and generous spirit, Stan’s impact on Boca Regional and our community was profound. Alongside his beloved wife, Marilyn, he became a passionate champion of the Hospital’s mission beginning in 2003. Their extraordinary generosity led to the naming of the Marilyn & Stanley Barry Center for Cerebrovascular Disease and Stroke within the Marcus Neuroscience Institute.

Stan’s leadership and compassion helped shape the Hospital’s future through years of dedicated service on both the Hospital and Foundation boards, including six years as Foundation Chairman. He also co-chaired Keeping the Promise…The Campaign for Boca Raton Regional Hospital and played a key role in the partnership with Baptist Health South Florida.

The Barrys’ philanthropy will continue to touch lives for generations, including their transformative gift naming the Marilyn and Stanley Barry Center for Surgical Care in the new Gloria Drummond Patient Tower. Together, and through the Barry Family Foundation, they supported numerous charitable organizations locally and nationally.

Stan’s legacy of generosity, vision, and kindness will be felt for years to come. He will be deeply missed and always remembered with gratitude.

Today is Doctors’ Day, a chance to celebrate the extraordinary physicians who go above and beyond, EVERY day, for our Boca Raton community!
Susan Morfesi experienced the impact of our care firsthand after a 20 year-long struggle with unexplained, debilitating symptoms.
A visit to the Marcus Neuroscience Institute at Boca Raton Regional Hospital finally gave her answers—and hope. Susan had normal pressure hydrocephalus, a buildup of fluid in the skull, and her care team had a solution to fix it!
Our doctors do more than deliver extraordinary care—they also invest in it. Many give their own gifts to advance innovation that changes lives, just like Susan’s.
“I use my expertise and training to heal and also give back financially to the foundation to ensure breakthroughs in neuroscience reach every patient who needs them—right here in Boca Raton.” – Warren Selman, MD, Neurosurgeon
Today, we invite you to stand beside our physicians by making a gift of your own: Donate.BRRH.com/Doctors-Day-26-P/

Mariola Barton looked forward to life’s simple pleasures: sunny walks with Rosie, her Teacup Yorkshire Terrier, playing with her granddaughter and practicing yoga—until debilitating arthritis pain in her hips stripped it all away.

Thankfully, Mariola connected with Boca Raton Regional Hospital orthopedic surgeon, Alexander Gaukhman, MD, who performed a total hip replacement. Within a week of surgery, Mariola was moving freely without a walker. She finally had her spark back!

This Doctors’ Day, March 30, we are inviting our entire Boca Raton community to give in honor of extraordinary caregivers like Dr. Gaukhman. Learn more at: Donate.BRRH.com/Doctors-Day-26-P

100% of your gift stays local, equipping our doctors with the tools and technology they need to give their best to every patient, every time. Because the more resources they have, the more LIFE they can give in return!

A year ago, 78-year-old Joseph Mishkin worried he would never play another round of golf. Debilitating back pain kept him chained to a walker, unable to hold his grandkids and fully enjoy his life.

But thanks to an innovative procedure called facet arthroplasty, performed by Boca Raton Regional Hospital neurosurgeon Frank Vrionis, MD, PhD, Joseph is now living pain-free!

In honor of Doctors’ Day, March 30, will you make a gift to empower the work of our incredible physicians at Boca Raton Regional Hospital? Learn more: https://Donate.BRRH.com/DD26P

There is no greater gift our doctors could receive than the chance to change more lives because of supporters like you!
