It is with deep sadness that the Boca Raton Regional Hospital Foundation shares the passing of Stanley “Stan” Barry. A devoted supporter, trusted leader, and generous spirit, Stan’s impact on Boca Regional and our community was profound. Alongside his beloved wife, Marilyn, he became a passionate champion of the Hospital’s mission beginning in 2003. Their extraordinary generosity led to the naming of the Marilyn & Stanley Barry Center for Cerebrovascular Disease and Stroke within the Marcus Neuroscience Institute.
Stan’s leadership and compassion helped shape the Hospital’s future through years of dedicated service on both the Hospital and Foundation boards, including six years as Foundation Chairman. He also co-chaired Keeping the Promise…The Campaign for Boca Raton Regional Hospital and played a key role in the partnership with Baptist Health South Florida.
The Barrys’ philanthropy will continue to touch lives for generations, including their transformative gift naming the Marilyn and Stanley Barry Center for Surgical Care in the new Gloria Drummond Patient Tower. Together, and through the Barry Family Foundation, they supported numerous charitable organizations locally and nationally.
Stan’s legacy of generosity, vision, and kindness will be felt for years to come. He will be deeply missed and always remembered with gratitude.
