We are happy to welcome Jonelle McDonnell, MD to Sukal Skin Institute.
Dr. McDonnell was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio. She graduated with her bachelor’s degree from The University of Toledo, followed by a master’s degree in biology from Bowling Green University, and then earned her medical degree (MD) from The Medical College of Ohio. Her post-graduate internship and residency in internal medicine were at MetroHealth Cleveland, followed by a dermatology residency at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, Ohio. She remained on staff as an attending physician at the Cleveland Clinic following her residency, where she was notably honored to be 'Dermatology Teacher of the Year' for three consecutive years, and the Willard Steck Endowed Chair for Medical Dermatology.
Dr. McDonnell subsequently relocated to Punta Gorda, FL where she opened and successfully operated McDonnell Dermatology, LLC for the next 12 years until joining our practice.
Dr. McDonnell is Board Certified in Dermatology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She specializes in medical dermatology with a focus on skin cancer, psoriasis, and challenging rashes. Additionally, she is trained in cosmetic treatments including lasers, chemical peels and injectables.
Dr. McDonnell is available to see patients in our Lake Worth office at 7980 S. Jog Road, Lake Worth, FL 33467, which is conveniently located across the street from Aberdeen Country Club just north of the corner of Le Chalet Boulevard and Jog Road. It was great seeing the SABR soccer team we sponsored win the Tom Cherubin cup.

Cameron Bedell compared winning a title for the Sukal Skin Institute in the Soccer Association of Boca Raton’s (SABR) Under-9 Tom Cherubin Cup to acing a test in school.
