Tuesday ⭐️ Vibes
Movement is deeply connected to a child’s development, impacting cognitive skills, emotional regulation, and social skills. Physically active play builds brain structure and strengthens neural connections, which improves focus, memory, and problem-solving abilities. Movement also builds confidence, empathy, and community when children play together.
Confidence: When children overcome physical challenges, like climbing, they build confidence and a sense of independence.
Emotional regulation: Movement helps regulate emotions. For example, a well-developed vestibular system, which is stimulated through movement, is linked to better emotional processing.
Community and empathy: Cooperative movement activities can build community, trust, and empathy among children as they learn to negotiate and work together.
Encourage active play: Engage in activities that involve a variety of movements, such as running, jumping, and dancing.
