Meet Dr. Rodkey 🥼🩺

Soon after completing fellowship, Dr. Rodkey was appointed medical director to establish and develop a new pediatric emergency department at the Cleveland Clinic and served for 10 years. Seeking a new challenge, he moved to Boerne in 2009 to direct the Christus Santa Rosa pediatric emergency department, during the hospital's transition to the standalone Children's Hospital of San Antonio. Beginning in 2014, Dr. Rodkey expanded his service to several children's hospitals in Texas and Nebraska, including the Children's Hospital of San Antonio pediatric emergency departments in Stone Oak and Westover Hills.

With a tenure including 30 years of experience within the emergency department at children's hospitals, 15 years of experience as medical director, and one year as chief medical officer, Dr. Rodkey created Platinum Pediatrics, an office-based, pre-emergency practice, to serve the children of Boerne and surrounding communities. His team is striving to help parents when their children are sick or injured, utilizing a direct care model, to keep them out of the emergency department.
