Wishing you a Happy New Year from Main Street Urgent Care! On January 1, our clinic operates until 6 p.m., ready to provide care. The year 2026 ushers in significant changes. Mark and I would like to extend congratulations to Ernie and Mandi Wheeler on acquiring Main Street Urgent Care, with today marking their inaugural day as new owners. We wish them tremendous success and good fortune in their new venture. We trust the Boerne Community will rally behind them as they have supported us over the years. Mark will remain affiliated with the clinic, contributing a couple of shifts monthly while embarking on his 26th year with the University Transplant Team. Meanwhile, Melissa looks forward to devoting time to her family, horses, dogs, cats, gardening, and needlepoint.

To Our Boerne Community,

With grateful hearts, we’re sharing an important update.

Main Street Urgent Care has been sold to Ernie & Mandi Wheeler, a local husband-and-wife team. This decision was made prayerfully and with great care, always keeping our patients, staff, and community at the center.

Ernie has spent the past 11 years caring for some of the most critically injured patients at University Hospital Emergency Department, where he has also served in a respected leadership role in trauma care. He has additionally worked part-time at Main Street Urgent Care for nearly two years. Mandi has been a nurse for 20 years and brings a deep passion for patient care and the overall patient experience.

What you know and trust remains the same:
• Dr. Gale Gregory-Laine remains our Medical Director
• Our doors are open 7 days a week
• Our exceptional, caring staff remains in place
• The compassionate care you rely on continues

Mark will continue working a couple of weekend shifts each month at Main Street Urgent Care and is entering his 26th year caring for liver and kidney transplant patients at University Transplant Center.

What is changing is that Melissa is stepping back from her administrative duties and into a new season of life—spending more time with family, her horses, dogs and cats, gardening, needlepointing, and the occasional fun trip with Mark.

Thank you for trusting us for so many years. We are confident Main Street Urgent Care is in excellent hands.

In order to celebrate Christmas with friends & family, Main Street Urgent Care will close at 4:00 on Christmas Eve and re-open at 9:00 a.m. on Friday , December 26th.
