A new study of Nonsurgical Spinal Decompression for Low Back Pain was published in Military Medicine, Vol. 190 September/October 2025.
Records of 267 patients from 7 different clinics were evaluated. Patients underwent an average of 20 sessions over 6 to 8 weeks.
90.5% of patients reported reduced pain, neurological improvements (reflexes, myotomes, and dermatomes), and improvements in activities of daily living.
Findings suggest that NSSD is an effective conservative treatment for a diverse population with LBP and may offer a cost-effective alternative to surgical and pharmacological treatments, reducing the risks of opioid dependency and surgical complications.
