Response-ability is the fifth principle of BraveSpace 🪁

Reposition yourself in relation to others and the world to feel your belonging in each moment. Communicate your truth, yet do not attempt to control others actions in order to avoid your own shifts.

Response-ability is about choosing to be here. What movement would make you feel like you are choosing life right now?

Improvisation is the fourth principle of BraveSpace🪩

True power is the ability to stay present with what is. Invite awe and wonder as you inhabit the mysterious gap between the little bit that you know and the infinite unknown.

How can you soften into the next moment, and the next moment, and the next?

Next time you are in a shared space, notice how you respond and how you feel when interacting with others.

Trans-formation is the third principle of BraveSpace🌱

You are comprised of patterns. Be willing to change your form, face your traumas, and invite discomfort so you can grow in alignment with your joy, purpose, and truth in community.

Through touch, movement, breath, and energetic listening, we create the conditions for your system to reorganize naturally, on its own terms.

De-Shaming is the second principle of BraveSpace.

You are nature, both wild and civilized. Bear witness to the divine
light and darkness that comes through yourself and others by holding your stories
and judgements lightly.

Here are 2 questions to pause and reflect on:
1️⃣When do you notice judgement come up?
2️⃣What does shame feel like in your body?
3️⃣How do you hold the duality of being divine light and darkness?

There are 10 principles of BraveSpace, over the next 2 weeks we will be looking at them all.

Over the next couple weeks, we are going to be deep diving the 10 principles of BraveSpace Embodiment.

The first principle is Somatic Research. The truth of your body cannot be manipulated by your mind. Somatic Research is the perspective of trying things on and checking to see how you are feeling in your body now.

❔What’s true now?
❔As I interact with this person, what is true?
❔As I move and feel the sunshine, what’s true?

In Somatic Research, we collect the data and then process that, without jumping to conclusions too fast. Notice the sensations, emotions, images, and movements that arise.

Pause your scrolling and ask yourself: what have I done to connect to my body today?

If you're realizing you haven't connected much, take 30 secs to a minute and just move. You can dance, or you can just let your body gently flow like you see here.

If you are in the Seattle area, come to Ecstatic Dance at Om! I'll be leading my Contact Improvisation workshop before the dance: https://www.facebook.com/events/1112200501075535/?rdid=OHlqJBpZwdOJk856&share_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fshare%2F1D3vhgSJ3p%2F #
