5 Tips to have a calm birth experience! Childbirth can be crazy, stressful, and painful. But it can also be calm, wonderful, connecting, empowering, and so much more. Having a calm birth experience increases self-esteem, del-efficacy, maternal and infant attachment, and a better transition into the maternal role. No matter how you chose to give birth there is always a way to have a calm and positive experience.

Dads need doulas too!

1) You know her and I know birth. Together, we can help the birth process run smoothly for everyone!
2) You have an important role as the father to help her through pregnancy and childbirth. I can help you figure out how you want to be involved that is comfortable for you and your partner! 3) I can provide you with reassurance during birth. Reassurance on what is happening, how you’re doing, and what your options are!
4) I can give you a break! Birth is a long and exhausting process for everyone involved. Having a doula helps everyone involved get more rest.
5) My knowledge of the birth process and both of your wishes can give you the confidence needed to support your partner! To not only help you know if you are doing a good job but where and how you can be the most helpful!
