🖤❤️💚 Honoring Juneteenth with Heart & Healing 💚❤️🖤

At HappyLife CBD and Boba Tea, we believe in the power of freedom, community, and healing—values that Juneteenth powerfully represents.

📅 On June 19, 1865, freedom finally reached the last enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, over two years after the Emancipation Proclamation.

✊🏾 Juneteenth marks the true turning point in the fight to end slavery.

🗳️ It took until December 6, 1865, with the 13th Amendment, to finally abolish slavery nationwide.

As a local, community-rooted shop, we honor this day by remembering the struggle—and celebrating the strength—of Black Americans throughout history.

With everything we see going on in the US, and the world at large, it is key we take this time to remember. We're still fighting for freedom in many ways. The ICE raids are just one form of the oppression that seems to creep back in.
