The feelings you have after the death of a baby can be overwhelming and intense, as the death of a baby at any stage is a very real loss. You will not only begin a journey of recovering physically, but also emotionally and spiritually. This support group is led by Christina Babin, and is held the first Tuesday of each month online via Teams. Registration is not required. Tomorrow night, at 7pm at each time zone, we light candles in memory of our babies, and join the International Wave of Light— a global event honoring Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Day.

I began offering this retreat annually, ten years ago, after losing my own baby. Last year’s retreat was pivotal and carried so many of us through another year of continuing to move forward with our grief. Opportunities to meet with other bereaved mothers, share stories, and speak your baby’s name can be few and far between. Healthy grieving matters!
The retreat will include:
- participation in the worldwide Wave of Light ceremony
- the opportunity to share your story and/or listen to the stories of others
- a group workshop activity
- professionally-guided breath work, movement, and meditation
- a bracelet circle
This retreat is open to bereaved parents and all types of birth workers/providers, with priority seating reserved for the mothers. Feel free to share with any bereaved friends and clients. Half of the available seating has already filled and RSVP is required. A wait-list will be available, too!
Looking forward to this special evening!
With love,
Katy

When a baby dies, so often the support is focused on the baby’s mom, and the needs of dads can be overlooked. We want you to know that while fathers may outwardly focus on the baby’s mom and worry about her well-being, they grieve, too. They may grieve silently, but they need support as well.

Let the bereaved dads you love know you are thinking of them and are there for them as well because they carry so much—deep love for their baby, the heavy weight of grief, along with love and worry for their partner.

Reach out to Share if you need resources for grieving dads. We are here for you, too.

As we approach October, we invite you to join us in remembering the babies we love and miss who were born into our lives and hearts this month. Whether this month marks the birth of your baby, your due date, or any other meaningful time, please feel free to add your baby's name below, or tell us who you are remembering this month. We will honor and remember with you.

We are here for you, to help you have a place for your heart to land when special or difficult days arise. For a listening ear, online support, or resources, please message us or call any time. You can join our closed Facebook groups, too, or our weekly online chat for support and sharing with bereaved parents all over the world. You can find a complete list of support options on our website nationalshare.org

Thinking of all of you and holding your babies in our hearts on their special days this month.

October is Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Month-- a month to share with our community, our friends, our loved ones, our world, the significant impact loving and losing a baby has on our hearts, our lives, and our families.

We start this month by remembering together our babies gone too soon: those born sleeping, those we carried but never met, those we held but could not take home, those we took home but could not keep.

They are forever in our hearts.

Support Group option for families parenting after a loss.

PSI's Parenting After Loss online support group is led by trained peer facilitators and is for parents who have experienced pregnancy loss and also have living children. Whether you had older children before the loss, or have had a “rainbow” baby since the loss, parenting after a pregnancy loss can bring up so many complex feelings. You may feel pressure to enjoy every moment of being a parent, yet you also still grieve the baby you lost. Bereaved parents need a space to talk about their specific experiences and complicated emotions. You are not alone, and we welcome you to join us.
