Your provider is there to support your birth—not control it.

Somewhere along the way, so many women were taught to stay quiet, not ask too many questions, and simply trust whatever they were told. But informed consent means more than nodding along. It means understanding your options, asking questions, and knowing that you have the right to say yes—or no.

Hospital policy is not the same as medical necessity.
Your provider brings medical expertise. You bring intuition, values, and the right to make decisions for your body and your baby.

A good provider won’t be threatened by your questions—they’ll welcome them.

You are not difficult.
You are informed.
You are not non-compliant.
You are advocating.

Because your provider works for you—not the other way around.

The kind of care every mama deserves 🤍

“Heart-centered. Present. Mom-centered.”

Elisha creates a space where you can actually rest—where your choices are trusted, your baby is safe, and your healing is protected. This is what postpartum support should feel like: peaceful, empowering, and deeply cared for.

When a mama says she felt safe, seen, and supported… we know we’ve done our job well.

Ready to experience this kind of care for yourself? Reach out—we’d love to match you with your doula

That little turn of the head, the open mouth, the gentle search…

This is the rooting reflex—one of your baby’s earliest ways of saying, “I’m hungry.”

Before the crying, before the fussing… there are cues.
-rooting
-hand to mouth
-soft sucking + stirring

Responding to these early signs can mean an easier latch, a calmer baby, and a more connected feeding experience.

Watch your baby, not the clock. 🤍

The first latch isn’t just a sweet moment—it’s powerful biology in action.

In those early hours after birth, baby is in a quiet, alert state—wide-eyed, instinctive, and ready to find the breast. Skin-to-skin contact helps regulate baby’s temperature, heart rate, and breathing while triggering a surge of oxytocin in mom, supporting bonding and helping the uterus contract.

That first milk—colostrum—is small in volume but rich in antibodies, perfectly designed to coat and protect baby’s gut and build their immune system from the very beginning.

And here’s the part most people don’t realize: babies are born knowing what to do. When given time and space, many will crawl, root, and latch on their own.

This is why protecting the golden hour matters.
This is why undisturbed, supported beginnings matter.

This is what it looks like when birth, baby, and body work together—just as they were designed to.

If you’re planning your birth, make space for this moment. And if you want support protecting it, reach out to find your doula.

Umbilical cord knots sound scary—
but your baby’s body was designed with protection in mind 🤍

Inside the cord is something called Wharton’s Jelly—a thick, cushion-like substance that helps keep blood flow steady, even when things twist or knot.

Most true knots don’t cause harm.
Most babies are born perfectly healthy.

This isn’t about ignoring risk—
it’s about understanding how intelligently our bodies are made.

Less fear.
More trust.
