As Black History Month comes to a close, we’re honoring Mamie Phipps Clark, a groundbreaking psychologist whose work helped shape modern behavioral health and child development.
Dr. Clark was one of the first Black women to earn a PhD in psychology. Her research on identity, self-perception, and the psychological impact of discrimination in children played a major role in advancing mental health awareness and equity. She also co-founded the Northside Center for Child Development, expanding access to mental health services for underserved youth and families.
At Trivium Life Services, we share this commitment to accessible, person-centered behavioral health care. We believe every person deserves support that recognizes their experiences, strengths, and cultural context.
We’re grateful for the leaders like Mamie whose work continues to guide more compassionate and inclusive care. 💙
