Meet Ayako Otani, a counselor here at Boise State Health Services. Her person-centered approach emphasizes the importance in the relationship between the counselor and client to facilitate healing, growth, and change.
Ayako’s clinical interests include depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, life transitions, relationship issues, cultural issues, self-worth, and LGBTQ+ issues.

Mental health matters. Past NCHA results showed that many Broncos are impacted by su***de risk — and that insight has led to expanded support like su***de prevention week, including here for you fest, free screenings, and spaces to talk openly about mental well-being.
