Penny’s Journey to Independence
Before Ticket to Work, Penny faced homelessness, health challenges, and a major Social Security overpayment. She dreamed of having her own place to recover and rebuild her life.
With support from her Ticket to Work case managers, Penny tackled her overpayment, navigated employment challenges, and secured a full-time job. Today, she has her own apartment, a beloved kitty waiting at home, and recognition from her supervisors for her hard work.
Penny’s advice for anyone considering Ticket to Work: “Keep your faith, ignore the negatives, and don’t give up on yourself.”

Cupid Could Never!

Cupid Could Never is a neon-drenched, anti-Valentine’s silent rave built for youth who want the vibes without the cringe. Think blacklights, glow sticks, thrift-core fits, and a soundtrack felt through color and movement instead of volume. The night centers on self-expression and friend-energy with UV tattoo bars, DIY rave accessories, and a Sweet-vs-Sour candy setup. A glowing photo wall invites crews to snap pics at either the Crush Zone or the Anti-Crush Zone, keeping things playful and inclusive. It’s all the fun of a rave—youth-safe, sensory-friendly, and unapologetically anti-romance-core. Friday, February 13, 2026 from 7-11pm at LINC Boise: 1878 W Overland Rd Boise, ID 83705. Love What You Do: Madonna’s Story
Madonna once feared working would cost her the benefits she depended on. Through Ticket to Work, she found support, clarity, and confidence—and a job she truly loves.
Now in her fourth year at work, with a raise and a career in mental health, Madonna says it best: “I love my job. I am good at my job.”
Her advice? Take the chance. It’s never too late to love what you do. Learn more about LINC’s Ticket to Work program at lincidahoworks.org or email ticket@lincidaho.org
