We are 'thankful' this holiday season for generous supporters like Primrose school in Meridian. They have been donating to the Boise VA for multiple years now, with each donation being bigger than the year before! This year they were able to raise over 1,500 food items that will be given to veterans through the Boise VA Food Pantry. The VA relies on community support and we are so thankful to live in a community who does so much for our veterans!

An exciting opportunity for Veteran visual artists. Art Source Gallery is partnering with the VA Veterans Creative Arts Collective for their featured artist show. Up to three entries can be submitted to be juried and the chosen pieces exhibited with the ability for artists to sell their work. Submission Deadline: January 2. 2026

The Boise VA is currently accepting nominations for the Holiday Sponsor Program. If you know a single veteran or a veteran with a family that needs help this holiday season please nominate them. Perhaps it is someone who was recently terminated or laid off from employment. Someone going through a divorce. Someone who is going through a health hardship or caring for someone going through a health hardship. Whatever the reason they need the help, please nominate them by going to: https://www.va.gov/boise-health-care/work-with-us-/volunteer-or-donate/ We would love to be able to provide them with holiday gifts and assistance to make the season special.

WOW! Giant thank you goes out to St. Joseph's Catholic School - they raised over 2,000 cans of food for the Boise VA Medical Center Food Pantry! We are so fortunate and blessed to live in a community with such patriotic, compassionate young people. This is a huge help to a lot of deserving veterans who need it! Thank you for support of our nations heroes!

Luke’s Wings, is a nonprofit organization that provides emergency travel planning services and ensures eligible service members and Veterans in treatment, along with their loved ones, can be together during the holidays by offering support with complimentary airline tickets. This campaign offers flights that provide substantial mental, physical, emotional, and financial support, empowering these brave individuals to face and overcome the challenges of their recovery journey.

The “No Service Member Spends the Holidays Alone” campaign is running from Veterans Day through New Year’s.

Please note that VA does not have an official partnership with Lukes’s Wings, and eligibility is determined solely by them.
