⚠️ IDAHO IS ENDING ABA THERAPY

Idaho Medicaid is ending ABA therapy through Magellan and replacing it with Behavioral Intervention (BI) on Dec 1, 2025 — and families still haven’t been told.

💔 BI is not therapy.
The state has removed medical necessity, turning ABA into a lower-level service that cannot meet our children’s needs.
Providers were given less than 30 days to meet impossible new requirements.

This means children could lose access to real therapy, and parents are being left in the dark.

💬 What You Can Do Right Now
1. Email: MedicaidBHI@dhw.idaho.gov
Say:
“Families have not been informed about this change. ABA therapy is medically necessary. Please stop the transition to Behavioral Intervention until parents and providers are heard.”
2. Call your legislators and tell them to protect ABA therapy for Idaho families.
