It’s Hammy Day!
It’s amazing how many don’t speak the language, knowing where their leg is?
Know what’s really “pulling your leg”.
Yes, in anatomical terms, the “leg” specifically refers to the area below the knee and above the ankle. This is different from how most people commonly use the word “leg” in everyday language.
Anatomical Definition
In medical and anatomical terminology, the leg (also called the “lower leg” or “crus”) is strictly defined as the region of the lower limb that lies between the knee and the ankle. This area consists of two main bones: the tibia (shin bone) and the fibula (calf bone).
Learned experts speak of the extremities of a human as referring to the limbs or appendages of the body that extend outward from the torso.
Think of someone working with your extremities who doesn’t know the act of precisely describing, or identifying precisely, lacking educational requirements, using abstract statements.
