It is better to be Mr. Late than late Mr.

It is better to be Mr. Late than late Mr.

In India on the roadside you find traffic warnings. “It is better to be late than never.” “It is better to be Mr. Late than Late Mr.” “Start early, drive slowly and reach safely.” All these are meant to alert the driver but they have beautiful spiritual meaning.
1. Better late than never. Don’t think it is too late to begin spiritual life. Wherever you are there you begin but make a beginning. When you come home late don’t think it is too late I will not meditate. However late it is better to meditate than not meditate. Even if you miss one day, it’s gone.
2. Start early. Begin spiritual disciplines early. When one does that life becomes easier and more enjoyable. Drive slowly. Begin early and proceed slowly but steadily and you are sure to reach the goal. When a plant is small you can bend it in any way you want. When it grows older it will be difficult to bend. Before it is burnt you can change the shape of a pot but once burnt it becomes hard. Start early and reach the goal safely.

The Guru-disciple relationship

The Guru-disciple relationship

The Guru-disciple relationship is a very critical one.

We live in a modern society and we have a tendency to believe that we know everything. If you know everything, then there is no need of going to a Guru.

If you come to learn something, then be humble and have a positive attitude in order to learn many beneficial things that may have escaped you.

Do not be overly critical. What you perceive depends on your frame of mind. Always be in a receptive mood.

From time immemorial India has given birth to spiritual dynamos who have taught that in each human being the power of God resides. This rich spiritual herita...

Knowledge is pure. Where there is knowledge, there is purity. Where there is absence of knowledge, there is impurity. The soul is sat-chit-anand ( existence, knowledge and bliss). That which is conscious has knowledge. All material objects are said to be devoid of knowledge. The soul is beautiful, not the material world. The beauty outside is the beauty of the soul because it is conscious and understands what beauty is. Out of ignorance we ignore the soul and are attached to the body and the world. We neglect knowledge and we live in ignorance; in a world of likes and dislikes.
So pray with love, “O Divine mother, withdraw your play of illusion. Reveal your real nature.” Practice tapas and svadhyaya. Love and pray to the divine. Realization is at hand.
