Thank you to all who came today for our potluck picnic! It was truly a celebration of our Sangha, with 30 people there - members and attendees, along with loved ones and plenty of doggos! It was wonderful to see everyone together providing an abundance of food and drink, conversation and love! What an amazing and blessed time! 🪷🐦‍🔥🙏🏼❣️

Come join our Recovery Dharma Sangha for a casual time of food & fun! Family and friends are invited as well!! We are gathering for a picnic, potluck-style this coming Sunday, March 22nd at 4:00 pm. Here are the details •

Place: Kristen Armstrong Municipal Park • 500 S Walnut St, Boise 83712

Please bring prepared food to share, and also drinks for yourself. (We will not be using the grills.) Bring something to sit on, like sports chairs.

If you would like to donate and bring picnic essentials such as disposable plates and utensils, as well as napkins, it would be appreciated. Please sign up below in the comments.

If you can come, please share in the comments below what you plan to bring so we can have an idea of what will be offered, and to minimize duplications. Also, if you have any allergies that you would like to be taken into consideration, please reach out to us with a private message ASAP.

In this workshop presentation, Serena provides a comprehensive introduction to Recovery Dharma, a trauma-informed and Buddhist-inspired fellowship that addresses all forms of addiction through the cultivation of mindfulness, compassion, and personal empowerment. Drawing on her own journey of healing from complex PTSD and substance use, she explores how the Four Noble Truths and the Eightfold Path serve as practical tools for understanding the roots of suffering and ending the cycle of craving. The session emphasizes the importance of a non-hierarchical, inclusive community where individuals are encouraged to take responsibility for their own recovery without the requirement of belief in a higher power. Through foundational readings and a guided meditation, the talk demonstrates how practitioners can "peel back the layers" of habitual behavior to rediscover their inherent wholeness and build a life grounded in presence and kindness.
