Beyond Asana, this really hit me today: a reminder for how we approach life and our patterns.

Practicing kindness and meditating as a daily ritual helps us shift our mindset from reactionary (fear-based) to grounded (steady).

Take notice each day of your natural tendencies to respond to what’s placed in your path.
Are your reactions grounded — or knee-jerk responses you wish you could do over?

In yoga, we recognize these patterns as samskaras.
They’re like seeds planted within us that grow into our future thoughts and experiences.

So ask yourself:
✨ How do I want to perceive my life?
✨ What kind of energy am I investing into myself for the outcome I want?

A thoughtful answer can lead to a life of kindness and abundance.
Observing your reactions without judgment helps you shift patterns that no longer serve you.

Sometimes, stepping onto your mat is the first action toward liberation.

Yoga is more than the poses, it’s about the quality of your presence.

Every time we show up to the mat, we arrive as a different version of ourselves.

Some days we feel strong.
Some days we feel heavy, tired, messy, human.

That’s the practice.

The shape doesn’t make it yoga.
The breath does.
The awareness does.
The willingness to be here, exactly as we are, does.

Beyond asana, beyond the physical forms, yoga is the quiet remembering:

I am here.
I am breathing.
I am becoming.

Show up for presence, not perfection 🌿

What version of you showed up today?

🔥 Beyond Asana is here. 🔥
Yoga isn’t just a pose. It’s breath, it’s presence, it’s the way you meet yourself and the world every damn day.

Every Monday, we go deeper. Breathwork. Philosophy. Life, raw and unfiltered. Beyond Asana strips yoga to its roots and asks how it lives in you, not just on your mat.

No frills. No pretension. Just real yoga, real life, real you.

Drop us a comment below. What topics would you love to explore with us in Beyond Asana?

‘So ham’ a Sanskrit Mantra that is translated as ‘I am that’ loosely describes the relationship with my soul is in alignment with universal consciousness.

“I’ve always navigated my life to the beat of my own heart.”

That rhythm has guided the growth of the Yoga Tree of Boise from the very beginning. Original, unapologetic, and grounded in authenticity.

I’ve never been interested in following trends or fitting into what society thinks yoga should look like. Here, we arrive, practice, and teach from our own unique voices.

Punk rock was never just music. It was a movement about nonconformity. That’s the spirit of Yoga Tree: breaking molds, dismantling social constructs, and finding our own unique footprints along the way.
