Ben was by far the most thorough physical therapist I have ever worked with! Every visit involved trying new movements and testing new solutions to figure out the cause of my knee pain and how best to treat it. I learned so much from him and feel confident I can continue running and living pain free!

If I could give them more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! My son had an achilles injury and Maria was amazing to work with. She is so incredibly knowledgeable; we all learned so much from her. My son saw her earlier this year and he continues to use the exercises and information she gave him, every single day. Thanks to her, he's now finishing up a very successful XC season. Thank you, Maria!

🤍 Join us for a fun ladies’ night of community at our FIRST BIANNUAL Women’s Athletic Clothing Swap! 👚

This free event is for active women in the Treasure Valley! Come trade lightly used athletic clothing and gear — or those new or like-new pieces that didn’t quite work out when you took them home from the store without trying them on. 😆

You don’t have to bring anything to join or shop. It’s casual and open to all women — whether you’re a new runner, a postpartum mama getting back into movement, or a seasoned CrossFit or Hyrox athlete. We can all connect over movement, fitness, and of course, clothes! 👟

While you’re here, meet the incredible women behind Boise’s female-owned physical therapy practices, specializing in everything from running and pelvic health to CrossFit, Hyrox, and endurance performance. These women are your go-to professionals for staying healthy, strong, and active. 💪

I found Fit & Function Therapy online when they were promoting an ad to run pain-free. I was skeptical because I’ve done physical therapy several times in the past and it never seemed to work. Ben was great and did exactly what the online ad promised. I was able to run pain-free for the first time in over a decade. I highly recommend to anyone who is looking for REAL results.

For 3 years, I worked with several PTs in Boise to address recurring knee and shoulder tendonitis. None of them were able to address the root cause. Ben's initial evaluation was far more thorough than the others. He got me past the current knee flareup and train for an extended bike trip to CO and UT. More importantly, he got to the core of my problems. We redesigned my home workout to not only build strength for big days in the saddle, but avoid the persistent overtraining at the root my recurring injuries. I wish I would have started with working with Ben years ago. Highly recommend this clinic!

I am very grateful for my time with Maria! She was incredibly knowledgeable about the musculoskeletal system, and was able to communicate this complex knowledge in an easy to understand way. She was also efficient in narrowing down what the underlying causes of these issues might be, and then recommending exercises that provided results. If I have any lower body issues in the future I will not hesitate to reach back out to Maria for more help.

I came across Fit and Function on Instagram. I was having really bad pain in my ankle and saw they offered a gait analysis so I called. After my appointment I found out I had a stress fracture and wouldn’t be able to run for awhile but Ben assured me I’d be back and he was right. I followed his protocol to a T and slowly found myself recovering. Ben also found some imbalances that were causing pain in other areas that no other PT I had had ever mentioned. I worked with Ben for 12 weeks on my hamstring weakness and my stress fracture. I ran my first race and was so scared that something was going to happen but everything held up. I recently just ran the Goggins 4x4x48 (4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours) and I’m so happy to say I have no pain. I’ve never been to a PT like the ones they have at Fit and Function. As a runner I’m used to just laying on the bed and then hooking you up to different machines but every session was a workout. Ben was constantly explaining everything we were doing and the reason behind it. I’m so so grateful that I found this place and I will always recommend them to all my runner/athlete friends. Going to Fit and Function is not the same as going to other PT clinics. You will get a personalized plan that is ever changing and they won’t just lay you down and stretch you. Be ready to work though Ben doesn’t mess around with his PT protocols but they are so worth it. I’ve gotten so much faster and stronger thanks to him. So if you’re looking to heal for the long term you better call them up! They will take good care of you. (Side note) the clinic was always very clean which I appreciate!
